When all this is over, will it pay business to be kind?

The Irish Independent featured an op-ed yesterday by Ita Gibney, FPRII (Life), Chairman, Gibney Communications, on how corporate reputations will change in the period after the pandemic, accelerating on the trends of recent years.

Corporate reputations she argues will survive and thrive based on companies’ ability to adapt to the new world and the new public and political expectations of and sentiment regarding corporate behaviour.  There will be a demand for companies big and small to develop their “soft power” in all aspects of their endeavours.  Great corporate reputations will be those built on stronger ethical and social systems which create stakeholder value.
