Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, today announced that it has acquired PSG Communications, a leading communications and sports advisory practice based in Dublin, Ireland.

PSG was founded in 2014 following a merger between leading Irish PR firms Pembroke Communications and Slattery Communications. Today, the firm has 55 employees and advises some of Ireland’s largest corporate and not-for-profit entities, as well as a growing number of multinational clients based in Ireland. PSG has received numerous industry awards over the last two years and provides services across four areas covering corporate communications and reputation management, brand strategy and marketing communications, sports and entertainment sponsorship, and digital communications.

The PSG senior management team, including Chief Executive Mick O’Keeffe and Executive Chairman Padraig Slattery, will continue in their roles and to lead the business. They will now report to Charles Watson, Chairman of Teneo International who will join the board of PSG, together with Brendan Murphy, who currently leads Teneo’s operations in Ireland and will become Vice Chairman.
“Today’s acquisition further strengthens our capabilities in Ireland and across Europe,” said Declan Kelly, Chairman and CEO of Teneo. “I have known Padraig Slattery for many years and have tremendous respect for the business he along with Mick O’Keeffe and the rest of the team at PSG have built. Ireland is a critical market for many multinational corporations today and a great place to invest in the current volatile post-Brexit environment. The addition of PSG provides our clients with access to additional world-class expertise and capabilities.”

“We are very excited to become part of Teneo. We believe the enlarged consulting platform this will bring us will be of enormous benefit both to our clients and our team and gives us a massive competitive advantage,” said Mick O’Keeffe, CEO of PSG. “We have followed the recent exponential growth of Teneo under the strategic direction of Declan Kelly as a leading global consulting firm with growing interest. We have huge respect for what Teneo has achieved and to now be part of the global firm will without doubt open the next chapter of our growth and development.

“PSG created a new structure for Communications firms in Ireland and Teneo has created a new global consultancy model. Our growth over the last two years is down to the hard work of our talented team and the culture and values that permeate the company which will complement Teneo’s undoubted expertise and reach.”
