Each year, for over 30 years, the Awards for Excellence in Public Relations, co-hosted by the PRCA (Ireland) and the PRII, celebrate the very best of Irish public relations and communications work over the previous twelve months.

Our panel of thirteen judges, led by Neasa Kane-Fine, FPRII, have been burning the midnight oil over the last few weeks assessing almost 200 entries.

Now, they have finished their deliberations, and the 2024 Awards for Excellence in Public Relations shortlist is ready for release.

This year, 74 entries have been shortlisted, covering over 60 campaigns, so competition for the trophy in each of the 24 categories will be tighter than ever!

You can see all the shortlisted entries here.

The Young Communication Professional of the Year category continues to show that the future of the profession is safe and in talented young hands.

Three early career professionals have been shortlisted for the 2024 Young Communication Professional of the Year title – the shortlist can be seen here.

All that remains is to thank all our Judges and entries auditors for their hard work and dedication over recent weeks which all goes towards raising the standards in the profession in Ireland.

We also express our gratitude to our sponsors Fennell Photography (In-house PR Team of the Year), Onclusive (PRCA Agency of the Year), Ruepoint (Best Issues Led Campaign), Truehawk Media (Best Public Sector or Civil Service Campaign) and Paragon.

Our Awards Gala Lunch and Awards Ceremony will be in the Radisson Blu Royal, Golden Lane, Dublin 8 on Friday 21 June. You can book your place by contacting Annmarie Jordan annmarie@prii.ie. Tickets are €180 each. Book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

You don’t have to be among the contestants to attend the Gala Lunch and Awards Ceremony, but preference is given to those shortlisted.

Our Awards gala lunch ceremony will be in Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane on Friday 21 June.  You can book you place by contacting Annmarie Jordan annmarie@prii.ie.  The tickets are €180 each.  Book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
