Keating & Associates, one of Ireland’s leading corporate communications consultancies, is pleased to announce that Lorcan Allen will join the firm as Director of Business Development. An award-winning journalist, Lorcan has spent more than a decade working at the highest levels of business journalism in Ireland, having held senior roles with the Business Post and the Irish Farmers Journal. Lorcan will join the senior management team at Keating & Associates and help to expand the firm’s offering to clients.

Lorcan spent the last three years as business editor of the Business Post, leading the publication’s business and financial markets coverage, with a particular focus on developments in Ireland’s energy and agri-food sectors. Prior to that, Lorcan spent eight years working for the Irish Farmers Journal, where he started his career in media before becoming the paper’s agribusiness editor in 2019.
A regular contributor on national radio and TV on business and economic issues, Lorcan was named Business Journalist of the Year in 2020 at the annual Newsbrands Ireland journalism awards. He is also a Nuffield scholar, having spent two years researching a policy paper on how Ireland’s agri-food sector could adopt climate action measures and transition to a more sustainable production system.
