How to Join

To be considered for membership of the PRCA, a consultancy or sole trader must have been operating as a public relations or communications consultancy for a minimum of three years. The agency should commit to completing the PRCA Consultancy Management Standard within six months of joining the association. A suitable version is being developed for sole traders. The PRCA is a member of the International Communications Consultancies Organisation (ICCO).

As part of this global network, all ICCO member agencies commit to the Stockholm Charter and the Helsinki Declaration, both of which set out shared ethical standards for the PR industry worldwide. In addition, members uphold a range of guiding principles and pledges, including the Warsaw Principles, governing ethical use of AI; the Misinformation Pledge, and the Sustainability Charter, ensuring a collective commitment to ethics, integrity, transparency, and responsibility across the profession. As a member of the PRCA, you commit to adhering to these principles in your professional practice.
